MAYOR & BOARD OF ALDERMAN
The City of Warrenton has a Council-Administrator form of government as set forth in Chapter 79 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri. The Board of Aldermen is comprised of six members, two from each of the
three wards. Board members serve staggered two-year terms and are responsible for determining policy, enacting ordinances and authorizing expenditures.
The Chief Executive Officer of the City shall be the Mayor, who shall be elected by the qualified voters of the City, and shall hold his/her office for two (2) years, and until his/her successor shall be elected and qualified. No person shall be Mayor unless he/she be at least twenty-five (25) years of age, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the City at the time of and for at least one (1) year next preceding his/her election.
The board generally meets the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:00pm at the City of Warrenton Annex Building (202 W Walton Street). Please see the Calendar for meeting dates.
